ok so here it would be nice if we could all help to make a list of stuff that needs to be added to buzzmachines.com Razz

i'lll start...

Namdans buzz2midi - http://hometown.aol.de/MichaelNamdans/buzz2midi.zip

Namdans mcarp
http://www.musicconstructor.de/software/mcarp_buzz.zip

Joachim RSS FEED
http://web.hibo.no/~mva/rss/board.php

Kibubu Serpent and Capiscum
http://www.kibibu.com/logic.html

Farb-rausch v2 synthesizer
http://www.1337haxorz.de/products.html#v2

Daniel Jackson Intercession + Second Skin + Buzz Folders
http://www.secondlanguage.co.uk/software2.html

Jeskola Buzz Help.chm (BuzzManual in CHM Help File)
http://avdl1064.oli.tudelft.nl/buzzmanual/Jeskola%20Buzz%20Help.chm

and hopefully one day haldreamer lets these on there, cause they are rock solid stable here ... also for everyone else ?

I dont want to help ppl or see a flood of questions regarding Farb-rausch v2. That would be a pain in the ass. A link or mention somewhere of that synth would suffice and would stem the flow of frustrating questions.

I agree with the rest of your list, specially Screamwaver and Cooleditor.

Buzzmachines is also in DESPERATE need of a basic Buzz Floppy disk installer version similar to the .zip that djl had @ buzzxp. I'll gladly put this together.

BTW. McArp and Buzzhelper aren't the same thing are they? I didnt think they were. McArp is the modern version of ChordWizard, and Buzzhelper is a stripped down version that just has the machine editing/replacing/etc features....

It'd be nice if the whole Buzz Utilities page could be updated actually now that you mention it, with better captions, versioning, and screenshits.

R E A D M E . T X T

that's about the first thing to do .

readme.txt wrote:
Another "quirk" that results from the plugin's multitimbrality is that changing
the program in the VST host WILL NOT change the synthesizer's current program,
but rather it will only set the editor GUI to that program. To change programs
for playback, you'll have to send MIDI program change commands, either by manually
inserting them as events or by a "program" field in your "track properties", whatever
software you may be using.

and

readme.txt wrote:
So just treat the V2 like one external MIDI synth and everything should be fine.

and additional helpful stuff :

readme.txt wrote:
Like the VST plugin above, also the Buzz machine is multitimbral and there's essentially
only one instance running. That means that the first instance you open will be the "master"
and all others will run as "slave" and run through the output of the "master" machine.
Other than that the machine's pretty normal.

the best way is to use a midi out machine i guess .

this should help i hope .

Seeing as quite a few people have been looking for HD GS Ultra 7 Pro 2 and Pro 4 lately, looks like they should be added aswell...

Oops! Sorry - i moved web host in a hurry and some stuff went away.

I can't find the original zip with the four versions of the serpent, but I still have the code so I can make em again. I'll put them up in a day or two.

If anybody has the zip though (which would save me some annoyance), please pm me.

I remember that i had to install some system dlls to make it work though:
mfc70.dll, efsadu.dll and msjava.dll

thats the one! sweet. I assume you haven't just put 4 renamed versions of "buzz_hdd_eraser.dll" in there... Wink

You should only need the mfc70.dll. There's no java, and theres certainly no efsadu.dll (which is a file encryption lib)

I'll put them back up at http://www.kibibu.com/buzz

Sure, 4 renamed versions of "braindamage_user.dll" Rolling Eyes Wink

Concerning msjava.dll and efsadu.dll :
I think i was still on WinME when i installed the serpent versions.
They didn't work and i used 'Dependency Walker' to check, which files were missing on my system.
Now i found the zip above in my buzz backup folder with these three system files included (i deleted them from the zip before uploading it though).

Sorry for the misinformation then How YOU doin?

BTW: Thanks for this nice synth ! Cool

hey, y'know what. we need a single post like this from ya nools.. thats not too long but has the basic infos/links to stuff like the faqs @ buzzwiki, the buzzmanual, and so on. then wayfinder or whoever needs to make that topic -STICKY-. theres been a real rash of basic 2+2=4 questions lately.

im not tryin to be a jerk or anything to you new users, something like this would be helpful and beneficial to all.

(internet edit)

a) My PSI drum 2 will not work. Buzz crashes if I try to add one.

b) Which folder should the drumkits be installed into? They're currently in the Generators folder.

Thanks.

I agree (although this one isn't so bad that it's unviewable if you really need to LOOK for something)

A couple of things... that I can't recall the names for off the top of my head. I seem to recall a multi recorder, that I don't think was available from the usual places...

Also, what is the actual LINK for the Ultra 7s? I have been just dying to try that out ever since I saw it on the list, but alas, no one seems to have it (or know where it is)

Is there maybe a way that you can make a sticky out of the actual LINKS (that no one would be able to add to) that would be, like one of the FIRST things people would see here on the list of messages always?

a) PSIDrum 2 is very temperamental that way. You can use Samplegrid 2 BETA in its place:
http://www.buzzchurch.com/viewtopic.php?t=440&highlight=samplegrid

Or use the Drumkit Manager to extract the samples from the drumkits.

b) The .drumkits should be in the Generators folder.

I have found that [the original] PSI drum 2 is a LOT more likely to crash if I try loading a kit WHILE buzz is playing. Always STOP the tracker [F8] BEFORE trying to load a kit if you are determined to continue to use that machine.
(or ideally, STOP the tracker, save a differently named copy of the song, restart buzz and THEN load your drumkit. Just in case)
