|
|
Ok here is an idea i have...
i have a ton of bmx files i would like to extract all the instrument chains out of to make templates...
This task is enhanced greatly by
buzzhelper, mcarp, chordwizard (very easy to remove multiple machines using shift click or arrows just like windows explorer) in conjunction with buzz open
So i want to drop all of the samples out of all bmx files and save as bmw ...
So either i could
Remove all the samples from the wavetable and save as bmx
Or
Open file, and save as bmw (i think that auto removes the samples??) ...
So any ideas for batch processing this over say 100 bmx files ?
Would i need to use some sort of keystroke recording/emulating program or do i have to do this all by hand ?
My Fingers ache enough as it is
thanks for the help _________________ http://www.noolmusic.com

have not done much in that direction. tho, it would be interesting to know if there is some kind of vb script or so that could do that.
i got tons of bmx's with tons of nice instrument setups. pads, guitar stuffs, leads and so... i was thinking once of making a template pack with the nicest setups i did so far (like the phatpad setup, from straight square, moving a single peer ctrl slider changes tons of parameters of lots of the gen and effects simultaneously, each with a corresponding upper and lower limit or inverted and stuff, and changes the mono square into a polyphon-like super duper chorded, verbed trance pad, or whatever you might use it for)...
would like to know results... =) _________________ pimpin' on an elitebook 8730w, iC2D p8700 2.53ghz, 8gb ram, ati mobitilty firegl v5725 @ 1680*1050, 1tb, windows 7 (64b)

bmw doesnt remove the reference to the samples in the wavetable though - replacing them with external links instead of compressed inside a .bmx - and you would want this gone too. so just saving to .bmw won't help you...
i went through a phase with templates but i find them aggrivating since the position of the machines isn't restored.. i use still but just single machines or one or 2 and mainly for midi presets for stuff like samplegrid and livejump.
one thing i did do kind of recently when i was trying to work on some templates.. created a blank bmx with a ton of samples in the wavetable, like 0-20.. then i opened m2buzz for merging the bmx (pretty sure it was m2buzz) with the one i wanted as a template. when merged the samples from the second bmx would be reassigned to higher numbers.. after i that i would reopen the file and clear out the placeholder samples and save the file. _________________ http://www.lazytrap.com/ |
