Why not use samples instead of seeking to synthesize an acoustic instrument?

Load the samples into the wavetable and use a tracker, sampler, or other such machine (ex. Matilde Tracker, SampleGrid, etc.). I'm sure there's a more detailed explanation in the manual.

.hub files are drumkits for the free standalone drum machine called Hammerhead - you can't use these fiiles directly in BUZZ and you can do everything Hammerhead does with a buzz tracker (use Matilde for now).

Here are eight quite nice tom samples from Manytone Music:
http://www.canadatelescope.com/Downloads/ManytoneToms.zip

and there are even more free drum samples on the site:
http://www.manytone.com/downloads.htm

read the buzz manual how to use wav files and then google for more "drum samples tom" etc. Smile
